Grammy nominated Hugo “Madeon” Leclercq has been revealed as the headline act for the upcoming wwFest: VALORANT, a music festival that merges “physical and digital worlds” organized by Riot Games.

The French DJ and musician gained notoriety through YouTube, where the music video for his song “Pop Culture” earned nearly 4 million views. Madeon’s first album Adventure and his second album Good Faith both reached No. 1 on the US dance/electronic albums chart. Good Faith was also nominated for a 2021 best electronic album Grammy award.

The wwfest: VALORANT festival — which will stream live on Crown Channel, YouTube and Amazon Live on Jan. 15. at 10 a.m. PT is designed to emulate the world of Riot’s shooter game VALORANT and bring new levels of interactivity to its audience.

Madeon joins a lineup of musicians including ARMNHMR, Moor Kismet, Ookay and Whipped Cream. Street artists Thomas Turner and Killamari will paint live during the festival and house DJ Skylar Madison will spin a VALORANT-inspired curated playlist. A dance troupe will also perform in a way that speaks to VALORANT’s style and culture. Fans can enjoy the official choreography playlist ahead of the festival on Amazon Music.

The festival will use unique drone feeds, each representing a different VALORANT agent, that will allow viewers to create their own immersive festival experience. Live musical performances and active art installations will be filmed from the perspective of VALORANT agents Raze, Reyna, Phoenix, Killjoy and Jett. Each agent’s feed is tailored to reflect their individual attitude, culture and style. The drones allow the audience to curate their own viewing experience.

Viewers can become part of the show by submitting VALORANT inspired art, cosplay or photos using the wwFest instagram lens and tagging their post with #wwFestArt on Twitter or Instagram.
