New Pokémon Snap, the highly-anticipated sequel to the Nintendo 64’s cult hit, will be launching April 30, Nintendo announced early Thursday.

The game, which was first announced in June, is set in a brand new region of the Pokémon world called the Lental region. According to the official press release, the game will see players “take on the role of a budding Pokémon photographer and work with the Lental region expert, Professor Mirror, and his assistant, Rita, on an ecological survey to photograph Pokémon thriving in nature.”

A brief trailer for the game accompanied the announcement, showing off the brand new Lental region. Multiple Pokémon from various generations can be seen in the region’s different biomes, including second generation starter Meganium showing off the “Illumina Phenomenon,” a special glow some Pokémon found throughout the game possess.

The original Pokémon Snap debuted on the Nintendo 64 in 1999, serving as a stark departure from the typical battle-focused adventures of other Pokémon games. In that game players helped Professor Oak photograph different monsters on a separate island called Pokémon Island. The game was later ported to the Wii U via the Virtual Console, but New Pokémon Snap serves as the first direct sequel.
